About the Wright Cause Fund

The Wildcats for the Wright Cause Benevolence Fund supports members of the Woodrow Wilson Academy community directly affected by cancer.

At its core, the fund was created to honor the memory of John Wright, a WWA middle school teacher who died of leukemia in May of 2011. A selfless and generous man, Mr. Wright put others before himself even throughout his battle with cancer. Motivated to maintain the integrity of the original vision of Wildcats for the Wright Cause, a committee was formed that includes representatives from WWA’s PTO and the Board of Directors.
